Soirée D'Opéra
The German Club of AUI organizes an Opera concert on
Thursday, November 22, 2007 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Al Akhawayn University, Auditorium 17. This Opera concert features the German music group "Ensemble Amadé" and the Moroccan-German diva Malika Reyad. They will come from Germany exclusively on the occasion of the German Day to interpret the best of Mozart, Beethoven, Offenbach, Rossini, and others.
The event is sponsored by Fondation Hassan II pour les Marocains Résidant à l'Etranger, Dramatische Bühne Frankfurt , and Al Akhawayn University.

* 11h -12h: Opening by the President, Dr. Benmokhtar and talk by the German Ambassador, Dr.Gottfried Haas:"Historical Relationships between Germany and Morocco".

*12h00-14h00: Lunch.

. *14h30-16h: Talk by Frau Dr. Brigitte Heuel-Rolf: “GTZ in Morocco: Challenges, Achievements and Perspectives”.

*16h-17h30: Talk by Dr. Stephan Hollensteiner, the director of the international office of TUM: “ The Internationalizing Process at the Technische Universitaet Muenchen (TUM)”.
*20h-22h: Opera Concert.

All day exhibition in the Game Room.

« Mozart au Maroc, Rencontre des Cultures »

"For the first time at AUI, the German Club is organizing its big event on the 22d of November during the German Day"

The Group Ensemble Amadé will perform Operas of:

  • W. A. Mozart,
  • G. Donizett,
  • G. Verdi,
  • J.Offenbach,
  • G. Rossini, and others.

The event is sponsored by Fondation Hassan II, Dramatische Bühne Frankfurt, and Al Akhawayn University.

The Group is composed of:

  • Heike Bleckmann (musical Direction , Piano)
  • Ruth Eberhard (Singer, Soprano)
  • Malika Reyad (Singer, Mezzo-Soprano)
  • Holger Schumacher (Singer, Tenor)
  • Makitaro Arima (Japanese Singer)
  • Christian Dahm (Singer, Bariton)

The opera is composed of the most beautiful pieces of Mozart going from Barber to Zauberfloete, illustrated by a choreography with each new piece.

The contents of this new opera are the life of Mozart himself.

The German Club organized Thursday, Oct 4th from 8h30 to 9h30 pm a seminar about studies in Germany "Etudes en Allemagne: Programmes, Bourses d'Etudes et Perspectives". The club invited a guest from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Dr. Baerbel Raschke, DAAD representative in Morocco, She talked about study opportunities in Germany. ". This was followed by a presentation on the Summer School in Technical University of Munich (TUM) by participants of previous years.
